Official Berkeley County records must come from the government office that keeps them. The contacts below route court cases to the Clerk of Court, deputy incident reports to Sheriff's Records Management, statewide criminal histories to SLED, and county administrative requests to the OneBerkeley FOIA portal.

This Is Not a Government Office. This private reference resource cannot retrieve an official record, conduct an official check, change a record, or receive an expungement filing. The responsible government custodian must handle those services.

Berkeley County Sheriff's Office main public number is 843-719-4465. The Sheriff's Records Management Office keeps deputy-generated incident reports but does not produce local criminal-history checks. Since August 1, 2020, county Legal has directed FOIA requests through OneBerkeley rather than email or fax. That portal does not take over city-police or judicial records.
